When is surgery needed for neck pain? |
Non-surgical treatments are usually enough to treat most patients with neck pain and they usually respond well to it. These treatments usually include medications and with time they help a person cure this condition. Very few patients suffering from neck pains need surgical treatment. But, there are situations when a person may need the surgery of the spine and has no other choice. One such time is when the non-surgical treatment is not helping. That is a person has tried medication, therapy, proper exercise and more treatment procedures but the pain still persists. Yet another occasion when a person has no other choice but to have surgical operations is when a person has trouble walking or to simply balance himself. When one or more of these conditions describes are happening to a person, surgical operation becomes mandatory in order for a person to continue living a normal and healthy life. |
