Pain in the neck can come suddenly with tremendous intensity or it can be chronic which means it can last for an interval ranging for a day to even years. Neck pains can occur due to many factors. Strenuous activities for long periods of time can cause neck pain as well as overuse of heavy weight lifting objects. Other factors include infections, muscle tension or a sprain. To prevent further pain in the neck one has to make sure he corrects his weight lifting techniques. Use devices such a telephones and computers properly and not stand in odd positions or angles. Maintain a proper posture when sitting, standing as well as sleeping. This is to ensure that a person does not put any extra strain on the back or neck. A person has to carry out a regular exercise routine before which he must stretch for a duration so as to make the muscles ready for the exercise. A person must of course avoid smoking as well as maintain a healthy diet. Last but not the least, a person must avoid emotional stress which causes tension in the muscles. |
