Acute neck pains are when it appears suddenly and lasts for a short term period. They can be from mild to severe, caused from ill sitting or sleeping positions, heavy workouts etc. Even though normal over the counter medications like paracetamols and aspirins are most popular for treating such crisis, if the neck pain becomes too intense to bear, doctors provide prescription narcotics to control the pain temporarily.
